Fair Oak Art and Craft Society - About our Exhibitions

Our exhibitions are normally staged in the Fair Oak Village Hall, Shorts Road, Fair Oak, SO50 7EJ where there is plenty of off-road parking available.

During our Exhibitions we welcome members of the public to view a display of our work in a “formal” but friendly and relaxed environment. It is also an opportunity to purchase paintings, cards and other craft items. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favourite pictures.

The Annual Exhibition takes place every November, usually over the “Remembrance Weekend”. Recently we have held a Summer Exhibition in August as part of the “Hampshire Open Studios” (HOS) event. Hopefully this will continue in the future.

Exhibitions are from 10.00am to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday of the exhibition weekend. Please look out for roadside and local shop display signs confirming actual dates of both exhibitions.

Entry to the Annual Exhibition is normally £1 per adult. Accompanied children have free entry. There is no entry fee for the Summer Exhibition, however we do welcome donations from visitors.

In addition to the exhibitions above we also open one of our Wednesday evening meetings to the public in the middle of May so that they can see us at work. Members display a small number of items for sale during the evening.

Refreshments are available at both exhibitions and on the Open Evening.

We would welcome opportunities to place signs about these events in local residents’ gardens in locations visible to the public. If you would like to offer to display a sign, if you would like more information about us, or are interested in joining our Society please contact one of the members listed below.
